From the Mind of…
This book was the first collaboration I embarked on with a close friend, Eian Celestine. Eian, a writer and poet, came to me with the idea of collecting his poetry from his early years and compiling it into a collection to be memorialized, tapping me for illustrations to accompany them.
When asked to write a foreword on the work, this is what I jotted down:
“WE were in a rush. A rush to consume as much Life as possible, Unconscious of the ripples we were creating with our actions. Our motivations were simple. LUST. Anmd that lust for life consumed us as much as we consumed the experiences that came before us. Eian was a consumer, a Devourer, Maneuvering in any way to meet his ends. we were young. we were in a rush. we were consumers.”
